That was lovely, you had me really believing in both the 'Bot's and Spike's perspective. It's so horribly bittersweet that the 'Bot always puts a positive spin on everything.
Truth was, without her to distract him, his eyes would inevitably be drawn to the pictures and mementos scattered about the room.
I like that idea and it nicely sets up the mood of the fic. Spike is forever hiding behind his Big Bad persona to hide what he's really feeling.
